A simple recipe that works: Role (who should the AI act as?), Context (what's the situation?), Task (what exactly do you want?), Format (how should the answer look?).

Pro moves: give an example of what you want, ask it to think step by step for tricky problems, and iterate - if the first answer is off, tell it what to change instead of starting over.
