Narrow AI is really good at one specific job and useless at everything else. It's the only kind of AI that actually exists today.

Narrow AI (also called Weak AI) is built for one task or a small set of tasks. A chess AI can beat grandmasters but can't tell you what a sandwich is. A face-recognition system can't write a poem.

Here's the plot twist: every AI that exists right now is narrow AI - including chatbots. Even though ChatGPT-style assistants feel general because they can chat about almost anything, they still can't, say, independently learn to drive a car or go get a job.

"Weak" doesn't mean bad. Narrow AI can be insanely powerful within its lane - it's just stuck in that lane.
